Pointspay, the innovative global loyalty marketing and payment platform, has appointed Rogier Jacobson as Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Rogier brings to his new role extensive experience at the intersection of commercial products, compliance and finance, working for almost a decade for Adyen and for Klarna earlier in his career. At Adyen, Rogier was responsible for running operations, successfully developing a global team and overseeing customer onboarding, risk management, compliance and monitoring as well as building out the product and the technology behind the platform proposition.
As COO, Rogier will use this experience to set Pointspay up for future growth, ensuring the business has the right culture, mix of skills and effective processes to keep pace with the accelerated growth the business has embarked on.
“The opportunity to take on the COO role at Pointspay was one I simply couldn’t turn down,” said Rogier. “I really enjoy growing the people, culture and processes that enable businesses to grow and I’m excited to have the opportunity to take the experience from my time at Adyen to Pointspay and build the same level of success in the world of loyalty marketing and payments.
“There are huge opportunities for us to innovate in this space, for the benefit of loyalty programs, merchants and payment service providers. Now it's really a matter of executing against the opportunity, ensuring a certain level of quality and efficiency.”
Dominic Hofer, Founder and CEO of Pointspay, added: “We are absolutely thrilled to add such a great professional and human being to our team. The COO role is ideal for Rogier, and I can’t wait to see how he helps to shape Pointspay's culture and processes for the benefit of our program and merchant partners.”
The appointment of Rogier comes at an exciting time for Pointspay as the business prepares to launch Flying Blue+. A long-term partnership with SAS EuroBonus was also announced last month.
