Description
The Vice President of Technology will have the extraordinary opportunity to drive Loylogic technology and solutions forward as we grow the company for scale. The person will lead multiple teams including solution architecture, technical architecture and service management. Reporting into COO, this person will work closely with Delivery head to co-manage the whole technology department. The person will take architecture decisions, will be the catalyst to manage change towards faster and better releases, will spearhead automation across SDLC and spearhead better service reliability, scalability, performance and availability.
Following is the snapshot of some responsibilities:
- Drive technology leadership, creating scalable architecture, frameworks, best practices, architecture and coding guidelines and ensuring their adherence.
- Shorten the release cycle to as much as weekly
- Move the team to automation
- Bring best SDLC practices such as pair-programming to drive code quality
- Lead service management embibing ITIL practices for better “ilities“
- Ensure that solution architecture is reusable across products and extensible for future enhancements

What we want?
- Excellent leadership skills
- Experience in product based compan(ies) specifically ecommerce/ new age businesses preferred with experience of at least one end-to-end product lifecycle
- Architecture strength and passion for technology specfically J2EE stack
- Experience in at least one tech team transformation towards better SDLC practices (pair-programming, XP, Scrum, etc.)
- Expertise in release management and quality delivery
- Experience in physical server management such as capacity planning, performance, availability, reliability, DR, security specifically DDoS, networking etc.
- Engineering degree/ masters from a reputed institute
- Can create scalable architectures, have excellent knowledge of design principles and managing non functional requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to handle diverse situations, multiple projects, rapidly changing priorities, and leading junior developers
- Self-starter and problem-solver thinking
